Join us for the Uptown Matsuri Festival at the Uptown Market in Independence to enjoy watching Three Trails Taiko and the Tatsumaki Ysakoi Dancers as well as vendor tables to purchase products from Japan. Interested in learning more about our sister city exchange or living, working, or going to school in Japan? Several information tables will be available to ask questions and hear experiences from alumni that have gone to Higashimurayama, Japan as part of the Independence Sister City Exchange.

Free soft drink with each ticket! Additional refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase. Food trucks with a variety of options will also be available for purchase. There are also several local restaurant options within walking distance of the festival on the Independence Square.
